Our usual office hours are 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Urgent problems can be seen at any time. Appointments may take between one and a half to two hours or longer if special tests must be done. Drops to dilate the eyes are always used for a retinal examination. This may briefly blur your vision and make your eyes more sensitive to outdoor light. For these reasons, we ask that you plan not to drive and to bring sunglasses for the day of your appointment. We can also provide you with special sunglasses when your visit is over.

Your entire evaluations may include other diagnostic tests such as fundus photography and fluorescein angiography. If your eye needs urgent laser treatment, this may also be done at the time of your initial appointment.

We try our best to stay on schedule, although emergencies sometimes arise. Occasionally, a patient in the waiting room may be seen out of turn if their problem is urgent. We ask for your patience if you have to wait.

Our doctors have specific office hours in each of our offices. Except for emergencies, patients are encouraged to continue their medical care at just one of our offices.
